Custom 14 Karat Yellow Gold Labradorite Ring

At You Design We Create, custom jewelry allows our clients to transform personal stones and inspiration into one-of-a-kind fine jewelry. This 14 Karat Yellow Gold Labradorite Ring was created for a client who wanted to showcase her own labradorite gemstone in a classic solitaire design that complemented similar rings already in her collection.

The Client’s Vision

The client approached us with a beautiful labradorite stone she already owned and wanted to build a ring around it. Her goal was to create a solitaire ring in 14K yellow gold that echoed the style, scale, and elegance of other rings she regularly wears, ensuring the new piece would blend seamlessly into her collection while still standing on its own.
Digital Design Using CAD/CAM

Digital Design Using CAD/CAM

To achieve a precise and harmonious design, we used CAD/CAM technology to digitally model the ring before production.

Through CAD (Computer-Aided Design), we created a detailed 3D rendering that allowed the client to:

  • See how her labradorite stone would be set.
  • Preview the band width, proportions, and profile.
  • Confirm the overall look and balance of the solitaire design.

This step ensured the ring would not only fit her stone perfectly but also align stylistically with her existing jewelry. Any adjustments were made digitally, giving the client full confidence before moving forward.

Crafting the Ring

Once the design was approved, the ring was cast in solid 14 Karat yellow gold, selected for its warmth and timeless appeal. The labradorite was then carefully set by hand, positioned to maximize its natural color play and iridescence.

The ring was finished with a smooth polish, highlighting both the glow of the gold and the unique beauty of the gemstone.

The Finished Piece

The result was a custom yellow gold labradorite solitaire ring—elegant, personal, and thoughtfully designed. By incorporating her own stone and tailoring the design to her existing collection, the client received a piece that felt both familiar and completely unique.
