The Concept: A Cinematic Tribute

Our client wanted to create a pendant that would honor his fiancée’s love of film and encapsulate the excitement of their upcoming wedding. After considering various ideas, he chose a Director’s Clapboard as the perfect representation—a nod to their shared interest in movies and a symbol of the “scene” where their new chapter as a married couple would begin. To make it truly one-of-a-kind, he envisioned engraving the charm with the wedding date and the name of their wedding venue.

We set out to design a piece that was both sophisticated and playful, ensuring that every detail would evoke the feel of a real clapboard while adding the elegance and timeless beauty of 14K White Gold.

Transforming the Design into Vector Art

With the concept in place, the first step was to create a digital representation of the Director’s Clap pendant using vector art. Final Polishing & Finishing: Adding a Touch of Brilliance

After the pendant was cut and engraved, our jeweler took over to add the finishing touches. Each surface was carefully polished to achieve a radiant, high-shine finish that would enhance the cool, elegant tones of 14 Karat White Gold. The striped top section of the clapboard was given a matte contrast finish to distinguish it from the polished lower half, making the engraved text stand out beautifully.
